How do I calculate my visa expiry date?
Enter your visa grant date in the calculator above, select your visa type, and click Calculate. The result shows the exact date your visa expires.
What happens if I overstay my Australian visa?
Overstaying your visa in Australia can result in detention, removal from Australia, and a 3-year exclusion period preventing re-entry. If your visa is about to expire, contact the Department of Home Affairs immediately.
Can I extend my visa before it expires?
Many visa types can be renewed or a new visa applied for before the current one expires. You may be granted a Bridging Visa while your new application is processed. Check conditions on your visa grant letter.
Does the 90-day ETA start from my arrival date?
Yes, the 90-day period for an ETA or eVisitor visa starts from the date you enter Australia, not the grant date. You can visit multiple times within the 12-month validity period, with each stay up to 90 days.
