What we checked, and what we changed: Verified 19 Sep 2026 directly from the live qld.gov.au public holidays table (2026-2029 columns). CORRECTIONS: King's Birthday moved from the previously recorded 25 September 2026 (wrong — holiday-calendar.html error) to the correct 5 October 2026 (first Monday in October). Added Labour Day (4 May, first Monday in May), Easter Saturday (4 April), and the Royal Queensland Show/Ekka (12 August, Brisbane only). Also newly found: a part-day Christmas Eve holiday (6pm-midnight, 24 December) not previously recorded anywhere in the repo. Removed the erroneous ANZAC Day substitute (Queensland has no substitute when 25 April falls on a Saturday). Regional show days: the qld.gov.au 'Show holiday dates' page lists 100+ localities with individual dates; a representative sample of 8 major regional centres (Toowoomba, Gympie, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Gladstone, Gold Coast) is captured here. The complete locality list was not transcribed in full — see source_url for every remaining district.
