Record tas-2026 in our public holiday dataset. Every date below is read from that record at build time.

What we checked, and what we changed: Verified 19 Sep 2026 via Wayback Machine archive of the live worksafe.tas.gov.au page, because direct automated access returned HTTP 403/a bot challenge. CORRECTIONS: added Eight Hours Day (9 March, closes C-TAS-02), Easter Tuesday (7 April, restricted to Tasmanian Public Service), and all 11 regional/district holidays previously recorded nowhere in the repo with real dates: Devonport Cup, Royal Hobart Regatta, Launceston Cup, King Island Show, Agfest, Burnie Show, Royal Launceston Show, Flinders Island Show, Royal Hobart Show, Recreation Day and Devonport Show — closing C-TAS-01, C-TAS-03 and C-TAS-04. CONFIRMED ABSENT: Tasmania has no statewide Easter Sunday public holiday. NOTE ON FORMAT: WorkSafe Tasmania's table records only the single legally-observed date for New Year's Day/Australia Day/Christmas Day/Boxing Day once weekend substitution is applied, rather than listing both the actual and substitute day as NSW/VIC/QLD/WA/SA/ACT/NT do — Boxing Day 2026 is recorded here as the single observed date, 28 December.

Calculators that use this data

These tools read the same public holiday data. If a date on this page is wrong, their answers are wrong too — which is exactly why the verification note sits at the top of this page rather than the bottom.
